Thank you for reading them in the first place. I started writing Sorcerer: The Inner Circle in February 2005. It was my first attempt at fiction writing other than a short-short story in grade school. It shows.

My reason for writing was fairly simple: After doing a lot of reading on SOL, I thought I could do at least as well as some of the stuff I saw, if not better.

I went through 3 volunteer editors until I finally was doing all my own editing. It takes a couple hundred thousand words or so of writing until one gets their “style” sorted out, so The Inner Circle especially was pretty, em, rocky.

Next, the genre I was writing for was “lots of sex.” While I had fun doing most of it, like other authors, it became a pain in the butt. A lot of my first draft edits simply removed a lot of the scenes or trimmed them down.

Now, since I want these novels to be much more mainstream, I’ve spent over 18 months re-editing them. I’ve trimmed down the sex even more, merged together Best Girl and Interesting Times so you don’t have to jump back and forth between files/books and did a lot more edits to smooth out the flow.

So, what you have here is the results of a lot of work and I think it shows in the results. Top
